The mDI001 is a self-powered digital input module with 4 inputs. The module is packaged in a potted plastic case with a pluggable terminal strip. The module can monitor up to 4 switches or dry relay contacts. It supports standard on/off mode or failsafe mode. Using failsafe mode, the module can detect loop open and short circuit conditions.
The device connects to the single-wire communications bus using the attached 2m (6’) cable and RJ-11 connector. Power is derived from the single-wire bus, external power is not required.
